1. saturn emits massive bursts of radio waves associated with aurorae near the poles of the planet, which have been monitored by the cassini spacecraft. these radio emissions show an amazing array of variation in frequency and time. the complex radio spectrum, is very similar to earth's auroral radio emissions...

2. GD358 is a white dwarf in the end stages of its life, with a mass similar to that of the sun but a radius only about as large as the earth.
this makes it very dense: one cubic centimetre of matter from a white dwarf weighs about a tonne. as GD358, in the constellation of corona borealis, is so small in stellar terms, the sounds generated by it are of a high pitch, so it has a ringing quality...
